Above The Fold: The Big Themes At A Glance
LevelTen Energy is a technology company in the renewable energy sector that delivers marketplaces, analytics and expertise to drive clean energy transactions. The company hoped to raise brand awareness in its key European markets and turned to Wise Up PR for support.
To celebrate our work outlined in our PR case study for this client, we also wanted to create a memorable artwork. The image needed to convey in a consumer-friendly way the quite technical aspects of LevelTen Energy’s work, creating an image that had immediate impact.
We hoped to capture the idea that LevelTen Energy is a marketplace that connects renewable energy professionals and brands, driving home the message that it connects renewable technology to buyers in a user-friendly way.
Our initial ideas included a laptop or computer having something like a turbine coming out of the top of the laptop, a computer like a tree, or a selection of wind turbines. The drafts sent over to Wise Up PR included a turbine in a supermarket bag, a turbine in a shopping basket and a turbine with a shadow that looked like a tree, just like a turbine, another free-standing source of carbon removal.
In the end, Wise Up PR selected the image they felt communicated the idea most clearly, a shopping basket with a turbine sticking up out of it.
Having trialed a few different ways to capture the idea of an ‘energy marketplace’ (ranging from logoed fruit stickers or wind turbines in product packaging), the simplicity of a wind turbine in a shopping basket was what won out.
The final image included details such as a price tag hanging off the turbine to really hammer home the idea of a marketplace, and created a consumer-friendly way to communicate the benefits of LevelTen Energy’s technology and how it fits into the wider market. What could be more commercial and user-friendly than a shopping basket?
