The Background

Dublin’s Bohemian FC soccer team engaged Wise Up PR for a short project to commemorate Bob Marley’s famous 1980 gig at their Dublin stadium.

Following the end of this project and to accompany the PR case study that highlighted the work and results achieved by our team, we enlisted the help of an artist to create a hero image of this campaign content.

The Idea

For the other art our agency had commissioned, much thought went into the ideation, given how technical some of our clients’ offerings are. However, in this case, we had a worldwide superstar to offer very quick inspiration for this image. Based on the song Three Little Birds, we were able to speedily decide exactly how we wanted the visual to look.

Initial Drawing

The Result

The artist used a soccer ball with Three Little Birds woven in, as a way to simply convey both football and the artist via the famous song. The initial draft showed a football with the three ‘bird’ logos dotted over the surface, and Wise Up PR requested that the final image also incorporate the club’s colours, black and red.

A soccer ball rests on a vibrant green background, inspired by Bob Marley's Little Birds song.
